Summit 7 + Summit 8 / 6.4.2014

Heute hatte Markus bei wunderschönem Sonnenwetter und angenehmen -9°C auf den finnischen Bergen
OH/KI-055 (Iso-Jehkas) und OH/KI-007 (Korkea Jehkas) nochmal Funker-Erfolg:
50 QSOs hat er gehabt.
Morgen wird er dann Richtung Norwegen aufbrechen, wo wir uns am Donnerstag treffen.
Dann laufen wir gemeinsam von Kilpisjärvi nach Abisko.


Today Markus had on the Finnish mountains OH/KI-055 (Iso-Jehkas) and OH/KI-007 (Korkea Jehkas) again success: He had 50 QSOs.
Tomorrow he will leave to Norway, where we meet us on Thursday. 
Then we go together from Kilpisjärvi to Abisko.

05.04.2014 Kilpisjäri / Summit Saana OH/KI-005

Last night there was strong wind and snow blowing across the camping place. I was not
sure whether it will be possible to ascend to the summit today.
In the moring the weather got better and I could walk to the top.
Nice flat top and I found a good place to dig a hole and set up my tent.
Managed to work 40 stations.
See you tomorrow on OH/KI-055 or OH/KI-007.

Kilpisjärvi / 3.4.2014

Heute kam Markus in Finnland an. Das Wetter war sehr wechselhaft: stürmisch, Schnee, Sonne. Auf seiner Strecke von Abisko bis Kilpisjärvi ist ihm kein einziger Tourengeher begegnet. Das ändert sich nächste Woche - am Donnerstag komme ich endlich auch in das Schnee-Paradies :-). Unsere Pakete kamen an...
Momentan hat es so ca. -10°C und Markus wird die nächsten 3 Tage in einer Hütte hausen und von dort aus Tagestouren auf die finnischen Gipfel machen. Wenn das Wetter morgen gut ist, wird DK7MX vom Gipfel
Saana (OH/KI-005) funken.

Summit 4: Kistefjell / 27. März 2014

Heute war Markus auf seinem 4. Gipfel: Kistefjell. Er ist dafür über 1200 Höhenmeter hoch gestiegen.
Wenn das Wetter mit macht, wird er morgen auf den Berg:  Rohkunborri (LA/TR-005) hoch gehen.

Todway Markus was QRV on summit LA/TR-006 Kistefjell.
If the wheather will be good, tomorrow he will climb the summit Rohkunborri (LA/TR-005).

Summit 4: Tomorrow or the day after tomorrow / 25.3.2014

Heute hatte ein Amateurfunkter (Risto) Kontakt mit Markus und soll ausrichten, dass es ihm gut geht und er morgen oder übermorgen den Gipfel: Rohkunborri (summit LA/TR-005) aktivieren möchte.

Today a radio amateur and shortwave listener (Risto) talked with Markus and said, that he is fine. Tomorrow or the day after tomorrow maybe Markus is on the summit Rohkunborri (summit LA/TR-005).

2014-03-22 Summary after the first 3 summits

Hello Together! I am now in Abisko Turiststation and wait for the blisters on my feet to heal. Seem`s that I have been a bit too eager when climbing on this 3 wonderfull Sota-mountains. The weather was just perfect.  Now I have to pay the bill.
My plan is to leave Abisko tomorrow  and walk northwards into Norway. Hope to meet you again on 14.285 MHz.
